HOW TO CREATE (START) AN HOUSE CHURCH

Memory Scripture: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them (Mt 18:20).

To start an house church, at least two or three people is enough.

1. What are the things to get ready?
The following are the things to get ready for the fellowship:
•    The place where the house church is to be located: this may be a room, a verandah, passage way, lobby of a house, under a tent or a any other suitable place of meeting within the house.
•    The person to lead the fellowship.
•    The sit to sit upon: it may be benches, wooden chairs, plastic chairs or furniture
•    Pulpit, offering boxes, tithe box etc.
•    Other equipments depending of the level of the fellowship, this may include cassette player, PA system etc.
•    Preaching and teaching materials
•    Publicity materials such as flyers (fliers), if possible posters, sign boards, flex etc.
2.    In your own opinion, what other things are to be put in place to get ready?_____________________

3. What are the necessary steps to take?
•    Put the necessary things in place (all the points above)
•    Decision as to the date, days and the time of the programme:  To do this, you may need to consult the people concerned
•    Prayer
•    Preparation: getting the place ready, inform the necessary people who are to fellowship there
•    Publicity: it may be in the form of giving out flyers to invite people, going out to talk to people or to do morning/evening cry to invite people
•    Preaching: where necessary, there may be a need to do outside revival to prepare the people around the place of the house church to join the fellowship
•    Necessary training of the leader on the use of the available equipments, the way to handle the programme and the necessary records and reports
•    Wall clock to be purchased for them to watch the time so as not exceed the time allocated for each programme
•    Decision as to
The duration of each of the fellowships
The language to use in the fellowship
Etc.
