I AM NOT SERVING A DEAD GOD

1. I am not serving a dead god
   I am serving the living God
   Jesus died and rose again
   Ascended back to heaven
   And He’s alive now in this place

1. Shadrach did not serve a dead god
   Therefore in the midst of fire
   Jesus shows that He’s alive
   By joining His children there
   Killing the power of fire
   He’s alive forevermore.

2. Daniel did not serve a dead god
   Therefore in the den of lions
   Jesus showed His great power
   Shut up the mouths of lions
   So that they could not hot Daniel
   He’s alive forevermore.

3. Peter did not serve a dead god
   This is why even his shadow
   Jesus used to do wonders
   Healed the sick and raised the dead
   And made the blind to see again
   He’s alive forevermore.

4. I will never serve a dead god
   Jesus is the Lord I will serve
   By day and also by night
   Wherever I find myself
   And in whatever condition
   He’s alive forevermore.
