ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN TO YOU

Refrain: Ask, and it shall be given to you.
Knock, and doors shall open unto you
Seek, and you will surely find goodness
Thus says the Lord.

1. Don’t be afraid to pray to God
   God is a very good Father
   He’s willing to answer Your pray’r
   Only if you pray according to His will.

2. Those who prayed to God in the past
   Received their requested blessings
   God is still able to answer
   Everyone who prays according to His will.

3. Nevertheless, God has warned us
   That He will not answer some pray’rs
   To pray and be answered therefore
   We must always pray according to His will.

4. We must request in Jesus’ name
   Only what the Lord has promised
   We must also have good motive
   As we pray to God according to His will.

5. God has not licensed anyone
   To help fellow men get from Him
   What He is not willing to give
   Each of us can ask according to His will.

6. As a good Father that God is
   He will not give us stone for bread
   He will not take curses for pray’rs
   No evil can be according to His will.

7. God don’t treat all men the same way
   Though He can give sinners pardon
   Only His children He will give
   Whatever they ask according to His will.
